Position Description:

Training Coordination for the ACEs and Resilience Train-the-Trainer Initiative of the Maine Resilience Building Network

Provides administrative, technical and clerical support to the Maine Resilience Building Network to administer and coordinate a new Train-the-Trainer Initiative. Will be responsible for the refinement and oversight of training module development, trainer preparation and professional development opportunities as well as quality assurance. Some statewide travel involved as well as routine reporting and oversight of project evaluation components (observation, coaching, participant evaluations, coordination of contact hours for participants and problem solving/consultation with trainers, routine materials review and refinement). Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and resilience is a plus!

This is a project-based position.

Specific deliverables include:

  • Facilitate and assist in the execution of the regional trainer meetings in collaboration with MRBN Leadership Team and regional trainers; and
  • Manage the refinement, quality management and dissemination of the train-the-trainer initiative, including trainer recruitment and selection, preparation, trainer and session evaluations and coordinate subsequent training requests after the initial training.

Must be flexible with scheduling, including ability to work evenings and weekends. Required meetings include MRBN Leadership Team meetings, quarterly Network meetings, and other meetings as required. Must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision. Must have good facilitation skills and be comfortable working in a team-oriented, shared leadership, multi-sector structure.

Required Experience: Proficiency with word processing (MS Office) and database management. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and written and verbal communication skills required. Individual must be self-motivated, flexible, willing to self-direct, and have excellent time management skills. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments with speed and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints. Must have own computer and vehicle for statewide travel. Willingness to learn new technologies.

Desired Experience: Experience with event planning required. Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and resilience. Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit community-focused organization performing a similar role.

Contract Period:

One (1) year, with additional 2 years of funding (three years total) based upon the availability of funding, job performance and mutual agreement.

Compensation: The hourly contract rate is a “fully loaded” amount which includes all time, travel and expenses, billable on a monthly schedule. The annual contract amount available is $25,000.
